The mission of all local churches is not self-prescribed, but biblically mandated by Jesus Christ. It might be expressed in various ways, but we believe His directive may be summarized as follows:
Build People up in Christ; Send People our for Christ; So, that they may ever increasingly bring People to Christ.
Our Vision: What We Are Aiming For
The mission of a local church is a given. . . a bibical mandate. Our vision expresses our sense of the shape we believe our particular ministry must take to discharge it. It also identifies the attributes we want to most prominently characterize our ministry. At Lake, we are striving to be:
A sustaining sanctuary for the spiritually deprived and depleted;
A beacon of truth and charity shining in the surrounding darkness;
An intellectual armory for equipping the saints for service;
